The following work has been done since the EcoCenter existence:
Educational program:
– Development of scientific recommendations, work with schoolteachers, students, and population: Round Tables organization, meetings, seminars, and environmental actions;
– Creation of the library on ecological and legal literature, as well on social movement and Civil society literature;
– Creation of electronic data bases on ecological movement in Turkmenistan.
Publishing program:
– The Ecocenter publishes the Information Bulletin and distribute it between the NGOs throughout whole Turkmenistan;
– The following booklets together with the Ministry of Nature were issued:
"In accordance with the Law and Nature";
"How to help to Nature";
"Attention, fire!" "Ecological Marathon", other environmental papers;
– "Children photographic competition: (Regional Ecological Center under USEP financing);
– "Aarhus Convention and ecological rights of citizens".
Training Program:
– Trainings for NGOs and initiative Groups (more than 20).
Consultative support:
– Consultations in writing project proposals and applications for projects.
28 organizations have received the consultations and assistance in writing 60 projects.
Fundraising Program:
– Electronic data base on the state and international funds and programs was created;
– The assistance in searching the sponsors and donors is given;
– 40 organizations have received grants in different international funds and local programs.
Marketing program:
– The assistance in making marketing researches in equipment purchasing.
Video-studio:
– Three videoteks in three regions of Turkmenistan;
– The video - lecture hall was organized;
– The video prokat was organized;
– The assistance was given to the NGOs in making videîfilms of their activities;
– The information video-bulletins were created.
